Submit Your Abstract

Abstract submissions are now closed.

SPIE will publish the Conference Abstract Book in the SPIE Digital Library.

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts per provided specifications for SPIE Proceedings Publications. The suggested length of the extended abstract is two or more pages. Please use this template, which conforms to SPIE specifications:

Please refer to SPIE ethical guidelines when preparing your abstract:

Authors should cite their own work only as necessary; reviewers will require authors to remove extraneous self-citations.

Submission to UFO XII consists of two steps:

  1. Submit your extended abstract at the following link:
    https://spie.org/submissions/submit/overview.aspx?EventId=2531993
If you do not have an SPIE account, you will be asked to create one.
  2. Submit the Transfer of Copyright Form. The SPIE Transfer of Copyright form will need to be signed by at least one author of the abstract and returned to SPIE.  The completed form should be returned to SPIE by the contact-author uploading it into our system.

SPIE journals welcome submission of journal-ready manuscripts derived from extended abstracts, as appropriate for each journal. https://www.spiedigitallibrary.org/journals/journal-authors
